Scans are performed by fully qualified NHS trained Sonographer with over 20 years scanning experience. We also work in the NHS to ensure that skills and knowledge is up to date and in line with current regulations and protocols. This ensures that we are able to refer you to appropriate healthcare professionals in the event of unexpected findings, eg demise or abnormality.
Our main purpose is to provide the highest quality of scan in a safe, relaxing and caring environment. We are registered with Health and Care Professions Council and Care Quality Commission. We are audited to ensure you and your family receive the best possible care.
Your scan is an exciting time for family and friends and we can easily accommodate 5 guests.
Our priority is your baby health and well-being. In the unfortunate event of a problem being identified then this will be discussed with you and and a detailed report will be issued for you to take to your Healthcare provider (GP or Midwife)

This scan is generally performed with a full bladder but occasionally it may be necessary to perform an internal scan to give a clearer view. This will be discussed at time of scan and will only be performed with your consent.
From 16 weeks. From experience gender scans are not accurate before this time.

From 26 weeks to 31 weeks
Purpose of scan – Check for heartbeat and movements.
- Assess baby’s development and growth with estimated weight.
- Determine foetal lie and location of placenta.
- Umbilical cord blood flow.
- Confirmation of gender if needed.
